A SERIOUS CHARGE.

OFFENCE AGAINST GIRL. Alleged Carnal Knowledge. A charge of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl 14 years and 2 months was preferred against Albert Stevens at the Morrinsville Court this morning before Messrs. H. Kirk and H. J. Clifford, J.’s P. It was alleged that the offence took place at Tauhei on January 28. The Court was cleared for the hearing. The accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court, Auckland, for sentence.
