Mr. H. McCambridge, formerly of Te Poi and Matamata, has been appointed headmaster of the Tirau school. Miss U. E. HofFey has been appointed assistant mistress at Hinuera. A progressive euchre party and dance will be held in the hall on Friday, April 30, by the Anglican Ladies’ Guild. Euchre from 8 p.m. till 10.30 p.m., with trophies for winners, after which dancing- will take place. Admission, ladies Is 6d, gentlemen 2s 6 cl.* Enjoy yourselves to-morrow at dance. The ladies are in charge.* Betty Blythe will play the leading role in the film, “ Folly of Vanity,” at the Putaruru pictures on Saturday next. The picture is a Fox production and the supporting* cast includes Billie Dove, Jack Mulhall and Lotus Thompson.*
