MAGISTRATE’S COURT,
: PUTARURU SITTING. A Heavy List. At the Putaruru Court last Thursday and Friday Mr. W. G. Kenrick, had to cope with a heavy list. In several cases there was much legal argument, which took up a lot of time, and several other cases were adjourned until the May sitting. No less than six solicitors were in attendance on the first day, and it is very evident, from the amount of work accumulating, that more frequent sittings of the Magistrate’s Court will liave to be held in Putaruru. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. For disorderly conduct in Princes -street while drunk Kiwi Sam and John Peacock were convicted and fined 10s .each, with 27s costs .to the former and 12s costs to the latter. Martin for an assault alleged to have been committed on the 13th of February last. As the plaint note was informal, Campbell, who took proceedings through a friend, J. W.
