CONSTITUENTS’ NEEDS.

MR. HOCKLY IN PUTARURU.

Tokoroa Requests. Mr. F. F. Hockly, M.P., visited the Putaruru district on Friday at the invitation of the Tokoroa Progress League. A depuation from this body waited on the member for the district and brought to his notice the need for improvements to the trucking yards at the railway station, where the conveniences provided were held to be very inadequate. The question of noxious weeds at Tokoroa, particularly ragwort, was also discussed, and the rapid spread of the weed in the district was mentioned with a view to efficient remedial measures being taken. Mr. Hockly left for Wellington over the week-end and will interview the heads of departments and Ministers concerned on various matters pertaining to the needs of his constituents, more particularly' those irientioned by the deputation on Friday.
