DISTRICT FIGURES. % The January issue of the New Zealand Journal of Agriculture g-ives a list of cows that have gained certificates during- November and December under semi-official testing. This list includes a number of cows from the Morrinsville, Matamata and Putaruru districts, the records quoted being as follow : JERSEY JUNIOR TWO-YEAR. Mr. J. R. Kelley, of Morrinsville.— Glyndyfrdwy Clara, started test at 2 years 25 days, gave 10,326.31 b of milk and 631.761 b of butterfat in 361 days ; Alfalfa Daydawn, started test at 1 year 347 days, gave 9580.21 b of milk and 510.681 b of butterfat in 365 days. Mr. R. S. Tuck, of Waharoa.—Rosy Creek Wavelet, commenced test at 2 years, gave 9240.91 b of milk and 519.591 b of butterfat in 365 days ; Lingerie of Rosy Creek, commenced test at 2 years 33 days, gave 70351 b of milk and 436.161 b of butterfat in 325 days. Mi-. Kelly’s heifers were milked three times a day during the whole lactation period, while Mr. Tuck’s Rosy Creek Wavelet was milked: three times a day during a portion of the period. MATURE JERSEY COWS. Mr. S. J. Robinson, of Hinuera.— Grafton Christmas Gift, commenced test at 5 years 293 days, gave 7953.31 b of milk and 394.591 b of butterfat ih 306 days. FRIESIAN TWO-YEAR. Mi-. R. S. Tuck, of Waharoa.—Dinah of Tikorangi, commenced test at 2 years 327 days, gave 14,813.81 b of milk and 514.081 b of butterfat in 365 days, milking three times a day during a portion of the lactation period. FRIESIAN SENIOR THREE-YEAR. Mr. L. E. Allen, of Putaruru.— Fairlea Friesia Mercena, commenced test at 3 years 329 days, gave 10,469.81 b of milk and 450.161 b of butterfat in 309 days, : milking three times a day during a portion of the lactation period. Mr. J. Hart, of Tatuanui.—Fairmont Johanna Fayne, commenced test at 4 years 272 days, gave 18,089.81 b of milk and 649.81 b of butterfat in 365 days, milking three times a day during the whole period.
