< INCOME AND EXPENDITURE. BP ! Details of income and expenditure ** of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board for nine months ending December 31, 1925, were presented to the board at its meeting on Tuesday by the treasurer (Mr. R. Sprague), who stated that the financial position of the board, was shown to he quite satisfactory. The income was shown as follows: | Flat rate (lighting-, heating and power), £31,607 17s; water heaters £1172 19s Id; ovens, £451 18s 7d; towns (lighting, heating and power), .£13,109 6s lOd; street lighting, £737 4s 10d; towns (maximum demand), £2681 17s 6d; factories and industrial £4OIB 2s sd; sundries, £500; trading ■department, £4500; total, £58,779 6s 4d. Expenditure. ■ — Power purchases, £17,893 is lOd; interest and sinking -fund, £27,687 10s; administration maintenance £9578 6s 7d. Credit balance, £3620 7s lid. The chairman considered that the figures were quite satisfactory and if the same progress were maintained W- till the end of the year the hoard Would he in a good position.
