The sight of a cricketer losing his trousers during the progress of a game is not a usual one, though for a footballer to have his shorts torn off is fairly common. At Nelson Park (Napier), however, a senior grade player, in playing- forward to a ball, caug-ht the leg of his trousers in thebuckle’of his pad, and, amid a tearing sound of ripping clothes, the leg of his trousers “ went west ” from thigh to well below the knee.
