TRANSFORMING WICKER CHAIRS

AN INGENIOUS IDEA. Wicker chairs; uncompromisingly plain, white, ordinary wicker chairs, the the cheapest sort of bedroom furnishing; but unfortunately they also look cheap. Not, however, when they are meta-

morphosed in the manner achieved by one clever girl. She has painted her 1 chairs in gold and silver paint; and the black, Chinese blue, and Indian red cushions with which they are made so “comfy" are absolutely and indubitably the right thing. They set the note, too, for the Chinees blue curtains broidered in black and Indian red; and for the generous-sized window ottoman upholstered en suite. These transformed wicker chairs aro some of the most covetable objects I have seen for some time.
