CANNOT OVERFEED A COW.
ON PASTURE GRAZING. Referring to the dangers of overfeeding dairy cows, a farmer of the Morrinsville district recently stated that it would be impossible to overfeed a cow on grass, because a cow would only eat as much as it required. About two thirds of the cows in the district were being underfed because farmers were overstocking. He preferred to carry less and thereby get better total results. In his estimation the carrying capacity of the land in the Morrinsville district was a cow to Zi acres.
