RIDING ACCIDENT.

BANK MANAGER THROWN. On Tuesday night, shortly after 7.30, while riding his horse on the Arapuni road' near Putaruru, Ml'. A. C. Thompson, manager of the Putaruru branch of the Bank of New Zealand, was' thrown and somewhat seriously hurt. It appears that a stirrup leather broke, thus causing the rider to lose his balance. It is only a few weeks ago since Mr. Thompson was incapacitated through injury caused by his horse Stumbling, and the accident which occurred yesterday has apparently aggravated the internal trouble caused last time. Mr. Thompson was brought to Putaruru by car, and though in severe pain he Is progressing as satisfactorily as is possible under the circumstances.
