BUSH ACCIDENT.

MAN’S ARM BROKEN. An accident occurred in the Waotu bush about midday on Tuesday in which a bushman was lucky 'to escape with his life. William Mitchell, an employee of the Waotu Timber Co., Ltd., was the man concerned, and while at work in the bush a “ sailer,” or dead limb of a tree, fell from a height, and, being unable to jumu clear, Mitchell put up his arm toward! off the blow, with the result that his arm was broken and a severe scalp wound sustained. The injured man was brought to Putaruru in the company’s car, and was attended to by Dr. Haslett, and is progressing- very satisfactorily.
