VALEDICTORY.

MR. R. J. WILLIAMSON. A very successful entertainment, which took the form of a surprise concert afternoon, on Friday, 14th inst„ was accorded Mr. R. J. Williamson, who is vacating- his position as schoolmaster at Arapuni. The farewell had been entirely organised by the pupils of l the school, with the assistance of Miss Boord, the assistant teacher, and the school was crowded with children and their* parents. A lengthy programme was carried out, all the items being given by the children, Miss Alice Donnelly being in charge. 1 During the afternoon two senior pnpdls, Misses Edna Lind well and Muriel Henderson, presented Mr. and Mrs. Williamson with two packets of stainless knives, and an afternoon teaset of Daulton ware, on behalf of the scholars and friends.
