REGARDING SLEEVES.
Lveryone admits that the prettiest portion" of the arm is from tho shoulder to a few inches above the elbow. This, however, is generally carefully covered up. A new sleeve has appeared; it consists of four plisse frills, and it is attached to the arm some four inches above the elbow with a band of elastic; the low'est frill falls softly over tho arm. Tight-fitting sleeves frequently have frills of a contrasting material springing from the under arm seam. Another conceit is to slash the sleeve from the elbow to the wrist and fill in tho hiatuses with puffs of snow-white lawn. Brassards have been revived, and are often made of leather, finished with a net buckle. They are also expressed in embroidery studded » simuli gems. m
