DAIRY FACTORY RETURNS.
FEBRUARY FIGURES,
Supplies Ahead of Last Year. So favourable to dairying has this season been and so well have the herds kept up their supplies that the Morrinsville and Matamata dairy factory figures for February show large increases over those of February last year. The Morrinsville Dairy Company’s supplies are nearly double, while those of the others also show I substantial increases. The advance payments for February have also been very satisfactory, the Tatua and Sunny Park companies paying* Is 5d per pound butterfar for cheese, Morrinsville is 4d for butter, Norfolk Is 4d for cheese and Sunny Park Is 3d for butter. Figures dealing* with the Tatua company’s February-March manufacture show that, with only one exception, the grading points were between 90 and 93 i. The Morrinsville company’s February manufactures compared are : 1925, 55 tons 6 cwt; .1924, 32 tons 6 cwt. Make to date for season : 192425, 428 tons 2 cwt; 1923-24, 269 tons 17 cwt. The butter figures show an increase of over 158 tons this season as against those of the previous season. The following* are the figures dealing with the factory supplies for February, those for the previous month being g*iven in parentheses:— | MORRINSVILLE. JButterfat, first grade 98,407.31 b (55,106.41 b), second grade 1103.31 b (1175.11 b); payment at Is 4d (Is 4id), £6494 16s lid (£3864 4s 8d). NORFOLK. Milk, 964,8841 b (556,5621 b); butterfat, 40,100.61 b (35,472.91 b); payment at Is 4d (Is 3d), £2673 6s 3d (£2217 0s 2d); average test, 4.15 (4.14). SUNNY PARK. Milk, 1,101,0231 b. (689,5481 b); butterfat, 42,1671 b (25,104.81 b); test, 3.89 (3.6); cream, 60,0171 b (68,1331 b); butterfat, 24,654.61 b (26,856.81 b); test, 41.07 (39.4); total butterfat, 66,821.61 b (51,961.61 b); payment at Is 5d (Is sd) for cheese and Is 3d (Is sd) for but ter, £4524 19s lOd (£3680 10s 7d). TATUA. Milk, 1,592,2561 b (1,579,8861 b); butterfat. 63,3131 b (61,9701 b); payment at Is 5d (Is 4d) per pound, £4290 15s lOd (£4128 6s 9d).
