MORRINSVILLE LOSSES. Slack Coal as a Cure. Paralysis has been prevalent among pigs in the Morrinsville district this season and one farmer states that he recently lost 11 out of 30. Both young and matured pig’s were affected nnd he was at a loss to know the best means of treating them. He tried putting them on a grass diet but this did not appear to have any beneficial effect. He communicated with the Stock Department and an .official "made an inspection . of. the - piggery. ;The farmer was advjsed-- to feed the pigs affected with the malady on- slack coal. This has been done with a distinct improvement being shown in the condition of the stricken animals.
