TILL ARAPUNI IS READY. Power Boards’ Guarantees. At Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board a letter was read from the Public Works Department acknowledging the board’s intention not to enter into any guarantee to take extra power than might be available from Horahora over and above the 2500 k.w. it was now using. The department slated that it was making every reasonable endeavour to supply any demand that might be made upon its Horahora system but with the urgent demands for power which were being received it was possible that it might, have some difficulty in meeting all demands for short periods before Arapuni was ready.
