BOARD’S PROPOSED LINE. Report by Engineers. The Putaruru-Taupo Railway Board -has appointed Messrs. Vickermann and Lancaster, consulting engineers, of Wellington, to report as to the possibility and economic prospects of the board’s proposed railway. Such a report has been asked for by the committee set up by the Minister for Public Works to decide whether the board’s scheme would be better for the district concerned than the board taking over the whole of the Taupo Totara Timber Company’s railway.
