Illustrating the love of the American mother for education, Mr. T. U. Wells told a meeting in Matamata on Friday that in Colorado, near the foot of the Rocky Mountains, when winter snows made the carriage of the children to consolidated schools impossible, parents had been known to build log cabins near the institutions and live there with their children during the winter months.
