THE BRIGHTER SIDE.
Girls who are dissatisfied with their positions in life and are apt to grumble about the work that falls to their lot,
should remember that grumbling never did and never will improve matters, find that most kinds of work can bo made interesting if the attitude of the worker towards her task is what it should be.
There is always a bright side to everything, and the grumbling girl will
find the bright side to her an uninteresting job only by making up her mind to make the best of circumstances. By determining to make the most of her life, as it is, she will bring to her w r ork a livelier interest and a more active intelligence, and it will no longer be dull; by striving to make the best of h?r position she will probably cm! cither by raising herself -to a hotter one or by raising her work to a plane worthy of her own respect. The more intolligv nee put into the execution of daily duties, however common-place they may be, the more-interesting they will become to the worker.
