HINUERA.

SCHOOL PICNIC. Showery weather slightly interfered with the annual picnic of the Hinuera Public School, which was held last Friday. Practically all the school pupils attended, along with most of the parents and many friends. Among those present were Mr. H. C. Pond, the chairman of the School Committee, and Mrs. Pond. Apart from the races for the school children there were impromptu football and basketball matches for the adults. Refreshments provided by the committee were much enjoyed by those present.
