TO FRESHEN CARPETS.
Carpets arc prolific dust-collectors, and to freshen them and prevent dust rising, brush them occasionally with a brush which has been dipped into a pail of hot water, to which has been added two tablespoonfuls of ammonia. This will help to revive colours in a carpet. Always before dusting a carpet, scatter it with damp balls of newspaper.
