PUTARURU SCHOOL.

MONTHLY MEETIN G. This month’s meeting of the Putaruru School Committee was held in the school on Monday evening. In the absence of the chairman, Mr. F. C. Barnett, Mr. A. R. Vosper presided, and there were also present: Messrs. H. C. Wheeler (secretary), H. J. W. Scott, E. Nicklin and F. C. Flyger. Letters were received from Ihe Education Board nominating Mr. J. G. Gasparich as headmaster of the school and Miss Cupples as an assistant teacher, these appointments to date from March 5. The committee approved the appointments. Advice was received from the Board that it had completed the purchase of two of the sections in the Glenshee subdivision adjoining the school grounds. The exchange of the other two to the school in lieu of original reserve land on the estate elsewhere had not yet been finalised, but the matter was proceeding. It was resolved That the committee convene a meeting of the public in about a fortnight’s time to arrange the school picnic.
