PUKETURUA.
J The contractor for the carting of , the metal from the roads radiating ; from the Puketurua cheese factory is making faster progress now with the work, having some three or four teams engaged. The metalling- material is being obtained from a pit alongside the road formation of the j Gambridge-Horahora road on the low j level by the Waikato river, and it is j being spread first along the road j from Mr. It. G. Goebel’s gate to the factory, while <a very short length between the school and the factory has been metalled with the same material. Some 96 chains of the Huihuitaha stream road are included in the scheme, while is also the length from the factory to the new Arapuni road. The riding surfaceman, Mr. G. Pemberton, is acting as the spreader on the job. The Puketurua post office, which is being provided on a site near the. factory by the dairy company, is now nearing completion.
