Though the Hon. J. G. Coates was disturbed he was not perturbed when a shunting* engine stopped immediately beneath him on the footbridge at the Morrinsville railway station on Wednesday morning*, while lie was receiving* deputations. He leaned over the rail and addressing* the enginedriver said: “We’ll get a., warm mough place in the next world without you making it hot now.” The engine moved on.
