TO THE EDITOK. Sir,—Thanks to the advt, in the Guardian for a teacher for the Deep Creek School, four applications were received, and the Committee appointed Miss Ida Nelson—undoubtedly a wise choice. Certain individuals who have an axe to grind are making a terrible fuss about the selection, but I say to them ; " a still tongue makes a wise head." The memory of a lost " tenner" lingers long!—I am etc., "Bob the Fossicker." [This letter has had to be curtailed, as the writer hit too straight from the shoulder to evade the libel law.-Ed. P.G.j.
