REAL SECRET OF SUCCESS.
Or course it is only one man's opinion, and 1 give it for what it is worth, but I firmly believe that the real secret of success is for a man to make up his mind to go into business for himself, no matter how early in life or on how small a scale rather than 10 work for wages, In tliis, of course, I may be wrong, and I do not expect everybody to agree with me : but at all events I have consistently practised that which I preach. 1 began life at fourteen as a vendor; of newspapers, and I have practically been my own master ever since. From the first I put every penny I could spare into my business, and I should advise every young man to do the same. But of more importance even than money is hard work, and the knowledge that one is working for one's self enables one to put in a lot of that. Thomas Alva Edison.
