G REAT EXOITEM ENT 'WHEN LOADED ANIMAL CHASED MEN INTO TREES. Nibbling at a box of dynamite, which she came across while browsing in the woods where a gang of workmen were engaged in excavating for a reservoir, a cow became suddenly crazed. The cow bellowed when the owner tried to drive her away, : Fearing an explosion, the several score of workers ran at top speed to a place of safely with the cow after them, head down tail in the air. Some of the workmen clambered up trees. Fearing for the safety of those at home, Mondock made a record run to the house. When the cow reached the village she pranced and cavorted about like a bucking bronco. Armed with spikes the villagers drove her to an enclosure in the outskirts of the village as a precaution. An examination -of the box containing the dynamite showed that the cow had eaten two half-pound slicks of the explosive, enough to blow her to fragments.
