Regatta and Sports.

A meeting of those interested in holding the annual regatta and sports was held at the Masonic Hotel on Tuesday evening: Mr J. H. Reynolds was voted to the chair.

After discussion it was resolved, That a regatta be held at Moitapu on Boxing Day and sports on New Year’s Day. Mr A. B. Clark was elected secretary, and those present a committee with power to add to their number—namely, Messrs Erskine, Miles, Congdon, H. L. N. Clarke, James Brownlee, W. Orsman, Venimore, and Wakelin. It was resolved, That the secretary prepare and distribute subscription lists, and that the next meeting be held at the Commercial Hotel on Tuesday, the 18th inst.
