Marlborough Education Board.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l see by the report of the last Education Board meeting that Mr 0. H. Mills was successful in carrying his resolution to have a new secretary appointed- The report of the AuditorGeneral was quite sufficient to justify a change, and the only wonder is that other members of the Board should have delayed their support to the resolution from one meeting to another. The thanks of all those who have any business with the Board are due to Mr Mills for his perseverance in the fearless discharge of a public duty as against personal feelings. I have written these few lines in the hope you will find room for them in your valuable paper, because ! believe when a public man discharges his duties in the interests of the public it should be duly recognised. I am, &c., Alpha. Blenheim, July 4th, 1890.
