The Lancashire Match. London, May 30, Ten thousand were present at the match between the Australians and Lancashire. The scaring was very rapid awing to the fast wicket. In their first innings the Australians scor d 3L6. Trott 61, Turner 48, Burns 35, Lyon 34, Ferris 34, Tramble 31, and Gregory, not out, 59. The tail of the team batted brilliantly. La{er. Lancashire were all out in the first innings for 78, Hornby 21, Lurab 28, Turner (as usual) on a bad wicket, was quite unplayable, and obtained 6 wickets lor 23, Ferris 2 for 33. The County d ; d ji<» better in ih- ir second innings, wnich closed for 83, Hornby again did well, making 20. Briggs was the chief scorer, with 30. Turner secured 5 wiekets for 40, Ferris 1 for 28, and Trumble 4 for 13. The Australians won by an innings and 155 runs.
