December 27. Telegrams to hand from the front report that a detachment of anilb ry has reached Korti, ano preparations are pre ceeding for tne advance of all the trev that have arrived there on important position on the Nile abuui 30 miles to the noithwaid ot Korti.
A report is to hand that a Urge force of Mahdities is entienched at a po.nt only Iwo days inarch from Merawai, to which place VVolsely is now despatching troops from Korti.
A detachment of 600 strong of thi South Staffordshire regiment leaves Kort to-morrow ior xVlerawi.
