All proteßts must be entered within fifteen minutes of the finish of a race, and must be accompanied with a deposit nt 3 sov«., which snm snail be forfeited to the funds if ths protest be not sustai- ed. All nominations, entries, and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addnssed to the Hon. Secretary. and left at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, not. later than 8 p.m. on the specified dates.
