CRICKET. —ENGLAND v. AUSTRALIA. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] Adelaide, December 12, The Australians continued at the wickets all the afternoon, and put together a total of 243 runs before the last wicket fell. The following are the remainder of the scores :—
McDonnell’s play was much admired, and his brilliant hitting was frequently applauded. December 13. The match was resumed to-day, The attendance of spectators was very large, but owing to the inclemency of the weather play was stopped at intervals during the day. The Australians having concluded their first innings yesterday, the Englishmen went in this morning, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had scored 233 with the loss of only two wickets.
