New potatoes, 161bs a shilling; apples, 15s to 20s a case. BUCKLAND’S WEEKLY REPORT. At Remuera store cattle were in usual number, and in consequence of the rain sold more freely. Good diary cows were in better demand. Fat cattle were in short supply. Best quality are worth 10s each, but second rate quality were at low values. Fat calves ware numerous, but fell in price as the sale proceeded. There was a limited market for sheep, which obtained a slight advance over last week’s prices, but fat lambs were abundant and generally of choice quality. An advance of fully 2s each was obtained above last week’s value. The fruit market still continues bare the choice being almost wholly confined to Island products in the shape of bananas, pine apples, and oranges. Of these a good supply has come into the market during the past week.
