Wonderful Escape.
[Own Correspondent.] Christchurch, December 4. A boy, named Neva, had a narrow escape from a fatal accident yesterday. He was driving a cart across the railway at Montreal street, when a shunting engine struck the cart and smashed it, seriously injuring the horse and literally ballooning the boy, who full down on the engine and was carried along some chains before the engine was stopped. The boy was stunned, but not .seriously hurt.
