Owing to the fact that the road had not been taken at the proper time it had been taken away, Und residents irt that locality were thus deprived of any means of access to their property. The people living thereabouts were endeavoring to collect an amount with a view of asking the Board to supplement it, and provide a bridge which was estimated to cost about £lOO. He threw out the hint now so that the Committee just appointed could bear it in mind when making their report County Hoad. Mr. Gray would like to see steps taken td get the County to proclaim a road through the Waimata. It was a most important matter and as there was something like £750 of County rates drawn from the property tP proportion of that should certainly be spent on roads in the riding. He moved that Mr. Tutchen be appointed as a depute* tion to wait on the County Council and explain the position to them. This proposal was agreed to, , Printing and Advertising.
