The next stenmer of the Orient Company leaves Melbourne on Dec. 26th. Correspondence specially eo and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vis., one shilling per half-ounce, will be forwarded by even* steamer. This mail will be due in London on Feb. 3rd, 1885. LOCAL MAILS. A weekly mail service has been established from Ormond to Mr. Montmollin’s station at Pahatiko, from Ist Nov. Mails for the present will close every Tuesday at 3.30 p.m. For Makaraka, Waercnga-a-hika, and Ormond on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 2.30 p.m. For Matawhero. Patutahi, and Te Aral Bridge every Tuesday and Friday, at 12 noon. For Puhatikotiko (Montmollen's), every Tuesday, at 2.80 p.m. For Tologa Bay, Te Mawhia, Tuparoa, Akuaku, and I’ort Awanui, every Tuesday, at 3 p.m, J. Shrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
