MAHDI’S TROOPS OFFERING SUBMISSION. REBELS SUFFERING"FROM SICKNESS AND WANT OF PROVISIONS. " [Reuter’s Telegrams.] London, December 1. A telegram has been received here from Lord Wolsely, stating that the Mahdi is short of provisions, and his troops are discontented and suffering severely from sickness, and that five hundred of the rebels have tendered submission to General Gordon. Lord Wolseley also states that after arriving at Khartoum and relieving the garrison there, the British expedition will return by way of Souakim.
