The next steamer of the Orient Company leaves Melbourne on Deo. 12th. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vjz., one shilling per half-ounce, will be forwarded by oven’ steamer. This mail will be due in London on Jan. 20th, 1885. LOCAL MAILS. A weekly mail service has been established from Ormond to Mr. Montmollin’s station at Pahatiko, from Ist Nov. Mails for the present will close every Tuesday at 3.30 p.m. For Makaraka, Waerenga-a-hika, and Ormond on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 2.30 p.m. For Matawhero. Patntahi, and Te Arai Bridge every Tuesday and Friday, at 12 noon.
