RULES AND REGULATIONS : No entry will be received for anv race, except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. Second horse to save stakes in all Handicap Races, hacks excepted. All protests must bo entered within fifteen minutes of the finish of a race, and must be accompanied with a deposit of 3 bovs., which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest be not sustained. All nominations, entries, and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Hon. Secretary, and left at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, not later than 8 p.m. on the specified dates. No nominations will be received through the post, after date of nomination, unless previously advised by wire. General entry night, Saturday, 18th of December. Qualification fee, 1 sov., payable at same time. The rules and weights of the Poverty Bay Turf Club will be adhered to.

Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes.
