Metropolitan Cattle Show.
[Own Correspondent.] Christchurch, November 4. The total entries received for the Metropolitan Show arc 1,242, but it is expected that additions will bring up the number to 1,300. Last year the total was 1540. There is a falling off this year in sheep, Ayrshire cattle, and draught horses, principally owing to the absence of several great Otago breeders from the list of exhibitors.
