Franco-Chinese War.
[Reuter’s Telegrams] . Hong Kong, October 31. The Chinese are massing large bodies of troops at Shanghai and Pekin with a view of prosecution of active hostilities against the French. London, November 1. The rumors which have been in circulation regarding Earl Granville’s attempts to mediate between France and China are daily gaining ground, but have no yet received any official confirmation.
