BUCKLAND’S WEEKLY REPORT. [Own Cobbestosdeht.l Auckland, October 31. At the Haymarket on Friday, October 24th, fodder was plentiful. Prices for small loads delivered, ranged from 2s 3d to 4s 3d the cwt; pressed oaten hay 3s 6d to 3s 9d the cwt; damaged maize, 2s 8d to 3s 3d the bushel. Horse stock were numerous, out no first class animals were yarded. Prices were without alteration, draught ranging from £l5 to £3l. m At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, late values for hides were obtained. Prices ranged from 2jd to 4Jd ; tallow and fat from Ils to 23s the cwt; scoured wool, 7d the lb ; fleeee wool in grease, s|d ; sheepskins, from Is to 5s 4d each. At the Papakura sale yesterday there was a full muster, both of stock and buyers. Late prices were fully sustained. At the Bemuera sale on Thursday, dairy cattle were in better demand than for the past tew weeks. Store catttle were numerous, and scarcely so high in price as at the fair. A decline in eggs is now quoted, the price being lOd per dozen wholesale, and Is per dozen retail. . Maize has hardened somewhat, and is now quoted at 4s fld to ss. ... Fowl wheat is selling at 3s to 3s 2d ; mixed chaff from £5 to £5 10s. For good sample potatoes £5 10s may be obtbined.
