[Per United Press Association.] Oamaru, October 27. A meeting of the Farmers’ Club on Saturday passed a resolution protesting against the duty on binder twine, and urging the members for the district to get the duty removed forthwith. Christchurch, October 27. A largely attended meeting of farmers and others was held at the Corn Exchange on Saturday, when it was decided to petition Parliament against the duty on reaper and binder twine.
