Arrival of the King.
[Own Correspondent.] Auckland, October 23. Tawhiao and the other natives landed yesterday morning, dressed in black and wearing the Good Templar regalia. They were driven from the steamer in a carriage and four, preceded by a brass band. In the evening they attended a temperance demonstration at the Theatre Royal. A number of the clergy (European and Maori) were present. Tawhiao, Topia, Honi Ropiha, and Patra made speeches, and signed a petition to Government to prohibit the liquor traffic in the King country.
