A special space will be alloted for New Zealand Industries of all kinds. Best Vehicle, locally made, a Silver Cup, presented by Messrs. Good Bros. Best kept Dray or Spring Cart Harness, locally of time in use to be specified. Prize, Ll, presented by M. Hall. Best Set of Light Horse Shoes, 10s. Best Set of Heavy Horse Shoes, 10s. A LEAPING MATCH Will be held at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. A prize of L 5 is offered to the horse that clears the highest bar, not less than four feet from the ground. Three tries allowed for each rise of the bar. Must be four or more entries. Entrance fee, 10s. A prize of L 5 is offered for the horse that is best over three jumps, hedge, ditch, and hurdle, list. up. A prize to the best Horseman of the best pipe in shop, presented by Mr. Jas. Browne. Entrance fee, 10s. There will be no match unless there are four or more entries, which must be made at the time of general entries on Tuesday, 14th October. N.B.—No entries will under any consideration whatever be received after the time and place above mentioned. Owners of stock not members of the Society can exhibit in every class excepting Entire Horses, on payment of an entrance fee of ss. for every entry in each class, excepting where otherwise specified. No horses or vehicles will be admitted to the ground, but a paddock will be available on payment of one shilling for each horse. GENERAL REGULATIONS To be Observed at the Forthcoming Show. All entries for the forthcoming Show to be sent in, properly described and classed (including hacks and leaping), to the Secretary, Gisborne, not later than Tuesday, 14th October, at 8 p.m., excepting entries for Farm Produce, which will be received up to 9 a.m. on the day of the Show. All the exhibits shall be delivered at the appointed place at or before 9 a.m, on the day of the show, except Entries, which may be admitted not later than 12 o’clock, and shall not leave the yards until 4 o’clock on the day of the Show. The price at which exhibitors will sell each exhibit may be stated by the exhibitor when making the entry, and such price will be marked in the catalogue. Applications to purchase exhibits at the price named in the catalogue may be lodged with the Secretary up to 2 p.m. on the day of the Show, and exhibits will at that time be sold on payment of the purchase money to the Secretary, provided that in case of more than one application the exhibit will be sold by public auction, immediately after 2.30 p.m., all exhibits not previously applied for will be sold to the first person depositing the price thereof with the Secretary. In all cases five per cent, will be deducted from the amount paid to the seller, which will go to the funds of the Association. All hacks entered in any of the classes shall be ridden before the Judges, if required. All owners of bulls and entire horses shall lake charge of them personally or by deputy throughout the proceedings. j Thu Show will be opened to the public at 12 o’clock, noon. I Admission: 2s.
