(Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 15. George Watkins has been committed for trial for the robbery from the Governor Gordon dining rooms. Christchurch, October 15. Harvey Roll, aged 24 years, son of J. Roll, chemist, Kaiapoi, was found dead yesterday morning on the premises at the rear of his residence, Charles street. Napier, October 15. In the case by an appraiser for valuing hotel property, the Magistrate nonsuited plaintiff on a point raised by Mr. Cornford that the appraisment must be written on stamped paper.
