Workmen’s Wages.
[Own correspondent.] Wellington, October 7. A deputation from the Trades and Labor Council waited on the Premier yesterday to bring under his notice a decision lately given in the Oamaru District Court by Judge Ward, that in cases of bankruptcy by employers of labor workmen could not claim wages in full unless they worked for the bankrupt up to the date of his bankrupty. Mr. Stout informed the deputation that he had provided against this in the Bill now before Parliament.
