[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Melbourne, October 3. Arrived last night—Orient steamship Potosi, with Brindisi mails dated London, August 29th. October 4. Two f resh cases of small-pox have appeared in Melbourne, and two at Berwick were reported yesterday. Sydney, October 3. Arrived last night—U.S.S. Go’s. Wakatipu, from Wellington. Sailed this evening—Waihora for Auckland. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, the Land Bill as amended by the Upper House, was again under consideration. In committee the House declined to accept the proposal to lay the Bill aside.
