[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Melbourne, October 1. The revenue of this colony for last quarter amounted to £1,450,000, an increase of £139,000 compared with the September quarter of last year. The Customs’ revenue increased by £33,000, chiefly owing to the extra duty now levied on spirits. The excise revenue increased by £14,000, and that from railways by £86,000. October 2. In the Legislative Assembly last night the Premier, in reply to a question, said Government had wired to the Agent-General tn London, drawing attention to the arrival of the German warship Elizabeth at Sydney. Adelaide, October 1. The revenue of South Australia for last quarter amounted to £508,000, an increase of £ll,OOO compared with the corresponding period of 1883. The Customs’ revenue decreased by £2,200, while the railway receipts increased by £16,000. Sydney, October 1. The New South Wales revenue for the quarter ended September 30, amounted to £1,580,000 being an increase of £190,000 compared with the corresponding period of last year. The increases shew in receipts from Customs, Lands, Railways, and the Postal Service.
